The purpose of this thesis is to build a practical Compute Aided Choosing Turbine software with full functions and friendly user interface. This software includes hydraulic computing module, database management module, solution estimating module and documents handling module. The new and popular technology COM was used fully in this software designing. The reason is that it can divide a complex software design into many modules and every part is built into binary file by different developing tool, so they can work together. So through many people' s work and long time development, it is possible to make this software be a very mature and first class application software. This software can help user to choose a turbine from standard turbine serial and give economic analysis through relative function computing to meet the initial requirement and it will offer final optimum result. The outputs of this software are the solution and relative documents. It can reduce the fussy work of people who work on water electricity generator plant and realize the turbine' s serial and modernization. Main contents and achievements1) This software employs technologies including Database management: fashionable connection of ADO database that can realize connection between different database platform, hence it is very easy to change this PC version into a network one.2) Dynamic blueprint designing, documents building and COM tech: This software can alter blueprint dynamically on the base of computing data and give the final documents, which meet the practical requirement.3) It applies new mathematics tech (interpolate function) which can compute the data more accurately than before.
