This paper depicts and discusses the turbulent model on the basis of hydrodynamics, drawing geometric model about two main flow components of impeller and volute of mixing flow pump by GAMBIT2.1 software of FLUENT6.1 software, and building up gridding pictures, then importing them into FLUENT6.1 software which is a computer software for flow field simulation. The calculating regions can be divided into stator and rotor, in this paper, the multiple reference frame model is applied in the coupling of stator and rotor, the control equation is three-dimension unsteady and uncompressing Renault average N—S equation, the coupling of velocity and pressure is SIMPLE method , the turbulent model is standard turbulent model of K—ε .This paper calculates the turbulent flow of the mixing pump in three different operation conditions. What is more, it analyses and compares the results in detail.On the other hand, the study of thesis can predict the performance of mixing flow pump. Meanwhile, the forecast of pump performance can reduce the trial-manufacture and experiment expenses, and can shorten the periods of design and fabricating. In addition, it shows the main flow characteristics of the mixing flow pump by analyzing the distributions of velocity and pressure, catching many important phenomena, such as flow impact and secondary flow, which can be provided for the design of mixing flow pump, and can show the exact physical message of the capability and improvement of mixing flow pump.
