So the medium, which construct the network, will change greatly for the improvement of technology = Many home-electrical-appliance companies and communication enterprises focus on the omnipresent electric power network. Utilizing electric line to build the intelligent home network has become an important direction of network development. Therefor , this paper make a systematic research about the modulation technology of the electric transmit—receive unit in the intelligent home network . DSP processor TMS320C5402 is the core segment which constructs the electric transmit-receive unit modulation module. The high speed digital process capacity of DSP processor carry out the intricate OFDM modulation.This paper take the computer network technology, electric communication technology, DSP technology as reference point. At first, it introduce the development of intelligent home network and put forward a future intelligent home network architecture whose communication medium is based on electric line. Then an analysis about the power line communication characteristic has been made. Whafs more, an analysis as well as comparison has been made among all kinds of modulation technologies. As a result , a choice of OFDM modulation has been made and a depiction in detailed has been made. It also illustrates the gradual development of from-orthogonal-to-fft procession. It provide us a systematic model of modulation module based on high-speed DSP processor and hardware implement. At the condition of limited storage capatiy and procession spedd, it optimize data storage of modulation program and bring forward optimization program.
