On the base of summarizing rensent methods of the thyristor-controlled series compensation (TCSC) stability controls and impedance controls, this dissertation analyses the theory of damping the power oscillation using TCSC, and proposes the corresponding control strategies. Designing of nonlinear controller and impedance controller has been developed. The main contents and results in this dissertation are as follows:1. Presenting the self-adaptive fuzzy PID control method for TCSC impedance control base on the research of theory of fuzzy control and PID control. This method avoids the shortcomings of the conventional PID controllers by the fuzzy adjustment of PID parameters in a dynamic process. It has good robustness and can make control quality improved. This dissertation proposes a advantaged method of TCSC impedance controller which combines the bang-bang control and fuzzy-PID. This controller can settle the contradiction between the celerity and stability in the control process on the whole.2. On the base of research of Inverse system method and linear optimal control theory and the found of the modles of unit-maximum power system and double-generator system, this dissertation designs the TCSC nonlinear controller.3. This dissertation uses the fuzzy-PID controller to carry out the order impedance which was calculated by the TCSC nonlinear controller and damp the power oscillation ultimately. Digital simulation research based on unit-maximum power system and double-generator system indicated that these controllers designed in this paper have good performance in transient stability control of these systems.
