Oriented to the development of reverse engineering theory, the thesis makes some research about the surface-fit technology in reverse engineering. A new interpolation approach of constructing C~1 continuous Bezier curve and surface is presented, which is applied to the surface-fit proceed of data cloud in reverse engineering successfully.The keynotes of this thesis are as follows:1. A new interpolation-approach is presented for constructing C~1 continuous Bezier curve and surface. The method constructs a new function of Bezier curve and surface through the transformation to Bezier curve based on its property. The constraint of C~1-continuum is satisfied naturally in the method.2. The thesis gives out a three-step and two-time method for constructing fit-surface from measured data. Three-step means: fitting C~1 continuous surface patch from measured data directly; bridging these patches by using Bezier surface; sampling data points from the fitted surface, then inversing calculation interpolation surface by using B-spline. Two-time means the two fit procedures for data cloud. Surfaces fitted by the method can be controlled and trimmed easier.3. Based on these theories, surface construction is performed by the secondary development of AutoCAD.
