This thesis is centered on the research of the High-powered digital controller based on IPC .Firstly, developments of optic measuring instrument are put forward in the dissertation and significances of the dissertation are set forth. Then design of High-powered digital controller is discussed in detail in the dissertation. It mainly involves the feasibility research of real-time control, design of PID controller and Data Fusion controller. The software completing those function have been also developed. Aiming at the problems in the experiments some opinions and possible solutions are advanced. Lastly, the control method of data fusion discussed in this dissertation is tested with experiments. which verifies that the theory discussed in the dissertation is correct and it is very valuable for engineering.The idea of applying the data fusion theory into Theodolite system is put forward first in this dissertation. The electric control system of Theodolite and tracking sensors' characteristics is investigated deep. Based on these characteristics and data fusion structure theory, the model of data fusion in the Theodolite system is advanced. And more, theory of data fusion is applied concretely to the Theodolite. It is testified that the system can still track the object when its lightness changes instantaneously or it is shielded. These researches improve the acquiring and tracking ability of the Theodolite effectively.
