Photoelectric Theodolites (abbr PT) is the most widely used equipment in the opticalmeasurement range. The abilities of PT such as fast capturing and stable tracking isconsanguineous related to the quality of the guide data. Study on the software of center control isto meet the optical measurement range’s development.The principle of position method of PT is intersection so the formula of intersection is given.The coordinate of launch and measurement is built and the transfer formula of tracked targetbetween them is deduced.The widely used TCP/IP in the internet is introduced. Both the advantages and disadvantagesof TCP and UDP is compared. With the result of quantificational experiment, the rationality ofcenter control communication software based on UDP of is proved.The structure、programming thinking and key technology of center control software isintroduced. The solution of high-speed and multiple sources data processing and the weightadjusting method of intersection data processing are disccusedThe application result shows that UDP is a reliable and efficient protocol as the base ofcenter control communication. The use of dynamic weight adjusting algorithm in data fusion isable to improve the measurement precision and make the intersection between PT with different precisi on possible so as t o increase the baselines numbers so t o improve the reliabilit y.
