Of Superpave Asphalt And Asphalt Mixture Applied Research In The Hexi Corridor Region

Superpave~? (Superior Performance Asphalt Pavement) is consisted with three parts which include specification of asphalt binder, mixture design and analytic system and computer system. It basically revised the empirical character of current test methods and specifications. We are introducing this system into China, but the set of SHRP equipments is very expensive and the situation is different between China and USA. So it needs to combine the situation of our country to make the best result. The HeXi Corridor is the main drag between inland and Xinjiang/Europe. It is very important for strategy mean to apply Superpave technology to this area.Firstly, this paper analyzes the climatic environment of HeXi Corridor and classifieds climate sub region of the area. It creates a way to select binder based on different position of asphalt pavement and solve some problem of Performance Grade system. We also study the performance of modified asphalt mixture based on the road performance. The paper analyzes the influence factors of high temperature performance of asphalt mixture with the help of Grey system. Finally the paper studies the test road and the construction technology as well as the segregation of asphalt pavement. It monitors the test road for further study.
