Quickly Configure The System Based On The Pdm Engine Products

PDM is a theory which manages the interrelated data of enterprise product lifecycle. It inherits and develops the merits of many kinds of data management systems, and resolves the key problems of enterprise development. This paper originates from the project which researches and develops of product data management of PERKINS. The production pattern of the company is a typical pattern that the species of products are varied and the products quantity is small. At the same time, data management of this enterprise has been disordered for a long time. This actuality is very disadvantageous to long development of enterprise. Combined with the requirement for development of this enterprise, rapid configuration technology of engine product based on PDM is put forward in this paper.Based on SmarTeam software platform, rapid configuration technology of engine is studied. Fundamental principle of rapid configuration of engine, configuration process and technology system based on PDM are researched and the key technologies are also pointed out.Based on the modular design theory, the module partition of extension clustering analysis methods and principles are applied to divide engine into different modules and make reasonable layout of engine's product platform.Through researching the management theory of engine product structure and configuration, rapid configuration engine's method is probed into, which is the method that how the products can be configured on the platform of engine product according to the rules of repository.REPCS, which is developed to configure the engines rapidly based on the software platform of SmarTeam, manages all kinds of data of PERKINS logically. The system provides a convenient, friendly, effective and rapid configuration platform for PERKINS.It, applying modular technology, product platform technology and KBE technology to configuration design of engine, can make corporation configure engine product rapidly according to customers' requirement. This not only shortens time of deliver the goods and reduces cost, but also builds a good and effective configuration platform. Using REPCS platform to configure Engine product makes knowledge of enterprise get enough reuse, improves efficiency and quality of engine configuration, establishes the foundation of giving the products to customers rapidly and enhances the competitiveness of the enterprise.
