Urban Freeway System Control

The traffic control of urban expressway is to improve the management's efficiency and safe of people and goods as well as enhance mobility by way of adjusting , warning and inducing the traffic volume. The control of urban expressway could increase the capacity, reduce congestion , enhance mobility and safety, provide a safe, fast, efficient, comfortable and convenient condition to drivers. In this paper, considering the traffic characteristics of urban expressway and the lower utilization of its auxiliary road, with the backgrounds of traffic informationa new traffic control strategy is proposed, and then develop a traffic control model.To achieve the effective management and control of urban expressway, it is necessary to understand the traffic characteristic, including the driver, vehicle, expressway and traffic flow, etc. which was analyzed in this paper.With the development of high tech such as video, computer and communication, we could acquire real-time traffic information. In this paper, aiming at urban expressway, the information framework, the content and methods of information collection and the content and media of information provision was proposed, which are the basis of intelligent control.Considering the characteristics of urban expressway, and the lower utilization of its auxiliary road, combining the modern high technique and real-time traffic information, this paper claims the ideas and mathematical model of systematic control on urban expressway, and further discusses that how the model was established and solved through subjunctive data under the stable condition.
