Rigid pavement of airport consists of many cement concrete plates joined by many joints which can transfer load, so this paper sets up a calculational model of the airplane rigid pavement system-the rectangular slab which is on semi-infinite viscoelastic foundation to moving load, and is absorbed in the research on the dynamic back-analysis of pavement properties. The model would be consistent with practice instance.Firstly, by assumption and predigest of viscoelastic foundation model, plates and moving load, a mechanics model of system can be gained. Then based on the model, the dynamic equation of rigid plates can be listed.Secondly, according to thinking the joints of plates as elastic boundary supports to plates and by using of the method of separation of variables and Betty's reciprocal theorem of work, the solution of dynamic equation can be derived.Lastly, through nondestructive testing, using the nonlinear least square optimization technique and singular value decomposition, the back-calculating method for estimating property parameters of rigid pavement is established. The theoretical results and test results show this method is an efficient calculation approach that converges quickly for a wide range of initial values of module. Therefore, it provides the basis of conducting nondestructive measurement and evaluating load-carrying capacity.
