Aircraft braking system is very important for the safety and the general character of the airplane. It is hard and costly in designing the complicated structure. So the simulation technology has been applied widely in design and experiment of aircraft braking system. The hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation is an ideal research means because it is cheaper and more efficient than the physics simulation and more authentic than mathematics simulation, so it can be an effective experiment platform to test the control arithmetic of the airplane braking system and evaluate the actual control-effect and general performance.The demands of the simulation system are confirmed and the HIL simulation system based on iHawk real-time simulation computer and RT-LAB platform has been designed with the multianalysis of the operation theory of anti-skid braking system. The general structure of the HIL simulation system, the selecting of real-time simulation computer, the interface of model system between real object, the realization of the simulation software of the system has also been discussed in the paper.The HIL simulation system of aircraft brake mainly consists of SMSubsystem and SSSubsystem. The SMSubsystem includes the model of the airplane dynamics model, the landing gears model, the tire model, the runway model, the brake equipment model etc, and the SSSubsystem is made up of the controller of braking and hydraulic implement machine etc. Aim at the dynamic characteristic of the airplane braking system, the construction of the models is discussesed in detail and the efficiency of the braking system model is tested through the mathematics simulation.The design of the software of the HIL simulation system with RT-LAB in the environment of the MATLAB/SIMULINK is discussed in the paper, and the solve ways of some key- questions in model-split, optimization of concurrent processing, communication of the subsystem, human-computer interaction and so on are all mentioned too. And the real-time connection and communication between the view system and the HIL simulation system has also been realized with RS-485 bus.A HIL test has carried out aim at a kind of airplane braking system, and the test-result indicate that the test-platform of the HIL simulation system of the aircraftbrake is feasible, and the real test condition of aircraft braking system can be reflect, the whole performance of the anti-skid braking system can also be tested by the platform.
