Energy sources like the body blood. Along with the improvement of the people's standard of living, energy sources are needed increasingly for people. As a novel green and renewable energy, the solar energy is abundant, economic and non-pollution. So its application attracts lots of attentions and the solar photovoltaic energy technology has been the focus which people attend to. Generally, a fundamental photovoltaic energy system consists of the solar cell, solar controller, converter and batteries. In particular, the solar controller is the hard core of the system. Aims at how to increase the efficiency of conversion for the photovoltaic energy system, this paper researches the solar controller with maximum power point tracking (MPPT) and presents a novel MPPT method from the simulation.First, summarizing the composing of the photovoltaic energy system, introducing the presently technology application of the system in our country and according to different needs classing three structures.Second, analyzing the principle of the solar panel and using the MATLAB software to build the simulation of the output characteristic for the solar cell under different temperature and isolation. The simulation results confirm that the solar cell is non-linear.Third, comparing three DC/DC converters' principle, presenting that using Boost DC/DC converter to realize conversion and building the simulation model after analyze the parameters.Last, analyzing the MPPT principle, comparing several common MPPT methods and presenting a novel perturb-observe method, the simulation result confirms the feasibility of the method.
