The ultrasonography diagnosis technology is safe, convenient, hurtless, and inexpensive;and its superiority also consists in selecting multiplicity diagnosis parameter and realizing flexibility in the project. The new generation digital B-ultrasonography equipment based on embedded ARM9 & FPGA hardware platform and embedded LINUX operating system. The equipment has the basic function of existing black and white B-ultrasonography equipment;can carry on nimble ultrasonic data processing, thus causes the operation to be more convenient and further enhances the imaging quality. All of these build the foundation of long-distance medical service, so it will develop rapidly in the future market. The digital B-ultrasonography equipment's basic technical characteristic is realizing the extremely huge ultrasonic data real-time processing with the digital hardware electric circuit and its realization relies heavily on the FPGA technology. Now FPGA has already been used in many kinds of digital signal processing (DSP) application solutions. The hardware and software designer can use the programmable logic to develop each kind of DSP application solution. The programmable solution can adapt the fast changing standard, agreement and performance demand well. Along with the appearance of new FPGA system, DSP IP cores and the increasing of developing tools, more users will design DSP application with PLD. Compared with many high performance DSP processors, FPGA has the integrated superiority and the lower system cost.This thesis obtains from the ultrasonography diagnosis principle and the design of digital B-ultrasonography equipment;describes the ultrasonic data processing sub-modules emphatically;makes simple introduction of characteristic DSP processing method, the unique feature of programmable logical component, the programming principle and the design flow. On this foundation, it first works over the distributed algorithm, one kind of DSP algorithm which is suited in the FPGA component structure and performance characteristic;then applies it in designing FIR filters of digital B-ultrasonography equipment's signal processing sub-module. Next it discusses the CORDIC algorithm which can transform many complex operation functions to simple additions or replacement operations for the sake of implementation in hardware;then applies it in the rectangular coordinates-polar coordinate transformation of scanning transformation sub-module. Finally, it introduced the SOPC hardware design method using Altera IP MegaCore.
