B-ultrasonography becomes the first choice in modern iatrology because it is safe to use, and can do no harm to the patients so that it can be done repeatedly. Further more, B-ultrasonography is a convenience and costless way to do parenchyma examination, and it can produce clear images that help doctors to diagnose patients precisely.AT91RM9200 is an Atmel made embedded MCU using ARM920TTMARM(?) Thumb(?) core. The CycloneTMII series FPGA from Altera Company contains as much as 150 embedded 18 x 18 multipliers, and costs only half of its competitor while is 50% faster than them.A B-ultrasonography system using ARM and FPGA can not only reduce the size and cost of the system, but also can generate a fine quality image and finish the processing of the image. What's more, a B-ultrasonography system like this guarantees a powerful digital processing capability and thus is capable of doing various ways of analyze.This paper first introduced the actuality and developing process of B-ultrasonography, and then states the purpose and goal of the design of this system. Then after summarize the principle of embedded system, ultrasonic iatrology and B-ultrasonography, the paper discusses the hardware design of the system and the flow of MiniGUI interface design. The paper then emphasizes on the designing of measure and report module, including the optimization of the arithmetic and the design of interface. The essay finally makes a conclusion of the performance of the whole system and suggests some approaches in order to improve the system.
