Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(PMSM)with its advantages of high power density,high efficiency and wide application domains which had been widely used in many alternative current varying frequency systems and gradually become the main topic of all kind of researching and development sectors.And for the PMSM drive,whether hardware or control logistics,also have been more deeply studied.But in conventional motor control theories,most of them need the exact information of rotor speed or position to calculate the rotor model for aligning the control model with actual rotor position,therefore,using various photoelectric,mechanical encoder or sensors to detect the actual rotor speed and position is indispensable.This kind of devices not only increase the cost of motor assembly,and also lead to bad result of reliability for some special motor running environments,these disadvantages seriously limit the application and domains of PMSM.For removal the accessary sensor or speed detective devices,the aim of sensorless motor control become more popular major topic of all kinds of scholar and academics.The rapid development of Electronic Design Automation(EDA)and Field Course Programming Gate Array(FPGA)is well integrated with PMSM control.Compared with the conventional control chip,FPGA can not only meet the design requirements of software and hardware,but also fuse with its high speed and flexibility.This thesis introduces from the classical motor control theory,briefly inscribe the principle of permanent magnet synchronous motor and related basic control algorithm.Introduced and summarized the common control method of sensorless AC motors,and base on the static coordinate system and the revolving coordinate system and Vector Control principle.This thesis discussed the existing motor speed estimation and speed regulation methods for sensorless PMSM control on FPGA.Firstly,this thesis briefly describes the research background and current situation of this field,makes a thorough analysis of method of the mathematical modeling and control strategy of PMSM.And then we adapted the vector control method and control strategy of id=0,then introduces Kalman filtering algorithm and extended Kalman filtering algorithm.The application and improvement of extended Kalman filter for permanent magnet synchronous motor control system are introduced in detail.Finally,the whole system is divided into PI module,Park conversion module,Clark conversion module,SVPWM module,EKF algorithm module and so on.For the complex characteristics of sine and cosine in the field of FPGA,CORDIC algorithm is used to implement them.At the same time,this paper used the software Modelsim to simulate the function of the partitioned modules.The overall control scheme is simulated in Simulink/DSP Builder.By analyzing the simulation results of the system,the scheme designed in this paper has better rapidity and robustness in a certain tolerance allowable range,and can accurately control the permanent magnet synchronous motor.
