This paper utilized digital image and rapid prototyping technology to get orthopedics model. Through medical clinical verification, can improve operation success rate greatly, reduce the operation risk and expenses. Using FEA method to research stress of the process of human walking. Have launched the analysis research work of five following respects mainly:1. Explaining the basic principle of the rapid prototyping and application in the medical field;2. Carry on the exploration of the technology of modeling of orthopedics;3. Using three-dimensional modeling software to finish the orthopedics model and trying it for the clinical operation and plan;4. Utilizing MSC.MARC software to repair knee joint model and build FEA model;5. Utilizing MSC.MARC software to research the stress and strain of the joint surface in the course of walking, mainly study the impact of the weight.Using spiral CT as data source can get orthopedics CAD model with a high credibility and precision through the two-D and three-D software. Import these CAD models to rapid prototyping machine can obtain the paper base model, and apply them to orthopedics clinically can make better result. Using same method can get FEA model through repairing and smoothing CAD model of knee joint. Comparing with CAD model and finding that all matches with the original model well no matter on the appearance or size, and the model surface is continuous and with a high credibility.Researching the stress in the course of walking of knee joint is another part of this paper. Analysis from medical science clinical to consider joint surface have stress focusing and increasing in the course of walking, and reaching biggest in 0.25 (increment step 5). In this paper, through analyzing and thinking about the stress that the person of different weight produces on the joint surface in the knee while walking, the weight has smaller influence on the amount of the stress on the joint surface. Through the stress emulate simulation analysis that is produced to the person of different weight on the joint surface in the knee correctly, and can give greater guidance function to the clinical operation and artificial limb design, and for differentpersons can put forward the constructive instruction.
