The traditional process of product design and development consist of project design, drawing design, the physical prototype manufacture, the test of the physical prototype and product launch. This process exist problems such as:the cycle of the product design long and need to manufacture the physical prototype and the high cost of modifying the physical prototype. These problems can not meet the integrative needs of quality, efficiency and cost. But the emergence and development of the digitization prototype technology—a design method brings an innovation to the traditional way of products design. The digitization prototype technology apply computer to build models of the new product, then use virtual assembly to analyse the kinematics and dynamics of the whole product. Then modify the digitization prototype on the basis of the analysis consequence to make the product satisfy the demand of users. The digitization prototype could help them to find out the potential problems and mistakes of the product in the design period, and then they can modify the models to make the product perfect, this can reduce the dependence on the physical one, which could reduce the development cost, cut the development cycle, increase the competition capability of the corporations.The full face rock tunnel boring machine called TBM for short is a machine which boring tunnel in the absolute atmosphere. According to different geological conditions, we use the corresponding machine via the computer precision control, and at the same time assembling the segments which can bear huge pressure in the rear shield, to construct a tunnel one-off. Because of the high degree of mechanization, the fast construction speed, the quality security, the extensive applicability, the widely use, the little impact to the grand, the shield machine has been used in the underground, highway, railway, gas water services hydropower tunnel, and so on large-scale projects.The TBM as a kind of complex structure and high automation products is a mechanical and electrical product. Its design for its movement structural dynamic properties and mechanical properties has strict requirements. In order to ensure the design quality, reduce design cost, we need to apply digital prototype technology. The paper studied the Φ5.75m h rock tunnel boring machine, built its3D digital model. And on the basis of the3D model of the machine to make the Kinematics simulation, analyse the rock breaking mechanism of cutter tools and the stress of cutterhead. Then optimize the placement of the cutterhead, then make finite element analysis of major part, which could be used to evaluate kinematics and dynamic capability, structure capability roundly after completing the simulation analysis. It also provide the basis for design optimization and the milling machine improvement with reliable warrant.This paper use the digital prototype technology implements the machine modeling and simulation effectively, this method not only be suitable for the machine design and development, also can be applied to other research design and development of complex mechanical system, so this article’s research methods and conclusions have important practical value...
