Overwet-soil is distributed widely in humid plain and foothill of the southeast coast and southwest of our country. Because its moisture content surpasses the compacted optimum moisture content largely, overwet-soil is compacted difficultly. During the road, railroad and masonry dam are built in the heavy rainy and humid area, we will meet the problem on how to use the overwet-soil to fill the embankment and dam or reduce the moisture content. By way of filling earth after reducing the moisture content of soil, the craft should be more complicated. The quality is hard to be guaranteed, even with longer time and higher expenses. So many researches have been done, such as the moisture content transfer of overwet-soil that is filled in the roadbed directly, the settlement law of roadbed and the corresponding means.The different overwet-soil embankments are modeled and calculated by the software of finite element analysis in this thesis. Through the analyses on results, the variation regular pattern of the seepage and consolidation settlement are summarized, and the corresponding treatments are proposed. Mainly research has been done as follows:1) The finite element computations and analyses are carried on the saturated-unsaturated seepage of the three kinds of overwet-soil roadbed model separately, and the contrast analyses are carried on the results. Then, the moisture content law of different roadbed model of overwet-soil has been obtained along with the time, as well as the differences of the moisture content variation law between the different models.2) The finite element computations and analyses are carried on the saturated-unsaturated consolidation settlement of the three kinds of overwet-soil roadbed model separately, and the contrast analyses are carried on the results. Then, the consolidation settlement rule of different roadbed model of overwet-soil has been obtained along with the time, as well as the differences of the consolidation settlement law between the different models.3) Based on the variation law of the seepage and consolidation settlement of theoverwet embankment along with the time and the differences of the different models of the seepage and the consolidation settlement, the drainage structure measure and the establishment measure of drainage structure are proposed to the overwet-soil embankment, as well as the measure of admixture and the arrangement of construction time.The creative works are as follows in the thesis:1) The idea that overwet earth is filled to the roadbed is put forward.2)Aiming at filling the roadbed with overwet soil, saturated-unsaturated seepage calculation is performed. And based on it, the law of the moisture content transfer of overwet soil material filled to the roadbed is analyzed.3)The settlement of overwet soil filled to the roadbed is calculated, and the law of settlement is analyzed.
