Inductor element is great important as a part of a circuit in many frequency selective circuits and telecommunications equipments. Generally, the inductors with magnetic cores are chosen for all kinds of needs. However, only ideal inductors can be called when circuits are simulated, hysteresis phenomena of cores are often regardless of, which results in the evident difference of the simulations and the real, and the simulating results couldn't guide real works at present. To resolve this problem, a called macromodel lib for the inductor with nonlinear cores was built, and verified in this paper.The essential aspect of the mathematic model for inductor is the description of the hysteresis loops of the magnetic core material. The Jiles-Atherton ferromagnetic theory combined with the experience formula proposed by H. G. Brachtendorf, C. Eck and R. Laur, was applied in this case. The model is more flexible than Jiles-Atherton's, especially in the circuit model convert.Then, we use software Hspice of Synopsys to realize the inductor macromodel, and the circuit system responding to hysteresis mathematic model can be designed well, meantime, the method of building the macromodel lay technical foundation for other circuits design and that simulation results approach to real behaveior.We make good use of symbol-calculation function of MATLAB complete parameters'calculating. At present, we can't adopt least square method to realize curve fitting, because MATLAB fails to work out a specific expression of the total magnetization through the built nonlinear equations. Besides, we need to analyze the effects which the key points of testing curves take into parameters extraction and shapes of simulating curves, and lead parameters calculation.At last, the called macromodel should be verified. One is to simulate hysteresis loops of standard-sampel cores and assure that error amount is less than 20 percent, this process can support building a lib of inductors models in order that circuits'simulation can run successfully. The other is to simulate simple LC filters which call ideal and real inductors model, then we can get the simulating results such as time,phase movement and amplitude-frequency specifications are very different mainly due to hysteresis.In all, this paper presents some called real inductors models and provides a design method of real inductor model. Through models'parameters regulation, simulation results approach to real behavior, which is meaningful for conducting the work of real circuits design.
