B-mode ultrasound diagnosis, one of three most important diagnosis means, is used in medical field. B mode ultrasound instrument has much enormous progress during these years, owing to the same rapid progress in the field of the digital signal process, the ability of designing hardware and software and the material used in the instrument. Among these, the digital B mode ultrasound instrument is a emphasis direction.First, the analog B-mode ultrasonic receiver is discussed in brief in this paper. Then, the digital signal processing arithmetic in the digital B-mode ultrasonic receiver is discussed particularly. At last, the arithmetic is implemented based on the FPGA platform.The major content of this paper is:(1) Designing a circuit to fullfil the receiving of the faintness signal.(2)Based on the mode of ultrasonic echo, this paper designs a frequency-dependent compensation filter to compensate the absorbed attenuation when the ultrasound transmits in a tissue. Then, digital quadrature envelope detection is used to detect the envelope of ultrasound as it is most used in the corresponding signal process. At last, we transform the signal to the range which can be displayed by the logarithm transform.(3) Implementing the arithmetic baeed on the FPGA platform.The result of emulator from computer and FPGA platform indicate that the design has some good value.
