After this paper analyzes the importance of Green Illumination in the field of energy saving and environmental protection, the disadvantages and advantages of electronic lamp-house productions in both here and abroad is proposed at present. The high-pressured sodium lamp is the challenging production in all of the electrical lamp-house productions .So energy saving of the high-pressured sodium lamp becomes a important part of China Green Illumination.A new scheme,an AC voltage regulator with chop-control,is used for the high-pressured sodium lamp dimmer for the first time.The method was used to many applications such as industrial heating and speed control of induction motors.On the basis of the advantages and disadvantages of the methods of the high-pressured sodium lamp dimmer in both here and abroad, a new scheme is proposed.The scheme bases on the harmonics analysis of the theory and automatic control theory unlike traditional methods.The design adopts SPCE06A as a core control device and IR2110 as driver chip. The bidirectional electronic switch used only one device is adopted in main circuit. The model simplifies circuit design and achieve design objective.This article altogether was divided five parts. The introduction brings forward the question according to the present situation. The second chapter and third chapter discuss the realization principle and main scheme. Firstly the paper compares methods of AC voltage regulator with chop-control. According to practical demand bidirectional electronic switch used only one device is adopted.The paper gives a scheme with chop-control for inductance load. Singlechip has many advantages such as arithmetic capability and logical decision capacity,it offer more flexible and high performance control.So control section adopt sunplus SPCE061. The design adopts IR2110 as IGBT driver in control section and gains satisfying result.Fourth chapter mainly discusses software realization method. Software section is implemented by C language and assembly language . Last chapter analysises to the experimental result.The method not only may realize the regulated voltage, but also may simplify the installation and debugging . The method is also used in muti lamps system .This design tests the 250W high-pressured sodium lamp.Finally we achieved the anticipated goal.
