The reliability analysis of existing beam bridges in the presence of fuzzy mathematics is carried out in this paper and the evaluation grades of technical condition are given in this paper. And also, the bridges' fuzzy reliability level during their service is forecasted in the method of Markov processes. These work could be convenient to the economic and reasonable decision of existing bridges' maintenance to the department of highway construction and administration.Based on the consult of related information and the experience of experts in foreign countries and China, the fuzzy reliability evaluation model of existing bridges is built and the applied analysis method is put forward in this paper. In order to evaluate existing bridges' safety, the project layer mostly considers seven influencing factors which affect the serviceability of bridge structure, such as girder, diaphragm, supports, capping beam, pier and abutment, foundation and foundation scouring. All these seven factors are vested their own different weights. In the index layer, referring to the "Standard for appraiser of reliability of civil buildings"(GB50292—1999) , four evaluation factors such as bearing capacity, deformation, cracks and joint structure which have the different weights and the different membership functions of each evaluation index are imported.Based on fuzzy evaluation of the existing beam bridges, Markov forecasting method and bearing capacity forecasting curve of bridges' fuzzy reliability level in the future service is put forward in this paper. It supplies the theoretical reason to the bridges' maintenance and reinforcement in the future service.
