The shrinking petroleum resource and increasing environment contamination have been the two most serious worldwide problems. Along with the increasing number, the petroleum consumption and exhaust gases of automobile vehicles have been a serious impact on the petroleum resource and environment. As a result, developing and researching on alternate fuel for internal combustion engine has been more and more important. Methanol resource is abundant. Using methanol-gasoline blends as automobile vehicle fuel can save large amount of petroleum and have a low emission level. The main technologies of methanol-gasoline blends fueled engines are being advanced and the methanol-gasoline blends will be one kind of perfect alternate fuel for petroleum engines. This thesis introduces the characteristics of a Flyer M-TCE EFI engine when fueled with M25, M50 and RON93 gasoline. And also introduces the main problems when the engine is fueled with M85 and the feasible settlements in this thesis. The results of the tests show that, the dynamic performance of the engine is better when the engine is fueled with M25 than RON93 gasoline, and is almost the same when the engine is fueled with M50 and RON93 gasoline. The energy consumption ratio listed from low to high is M50, M25 and RON93 gasoline. The content of HC and CO in exhaust emission under idling condition listed from low to high is M25, M50 and RON93 gasoline. The combustion of M25 and M50 produces less NO_X in combustion process, but after catalytic conversion, the content of NO_X in exhaust emission listed from low to high is RON93 gasoline, M25 and M50 in idling conditions. The reason may be that, M25 and M50 methanol-gasoline blends are composed of much more oxygen, and their combustion rate is higher, but their calorific value is lower. Thus, M25 and M50 are combusted more efficiently and completely. When fueled with M25 and M50, the engine produces more power, consumes less energy and gives off less HC and CO. But the temperature of combustion and exhaust gases of M25 and M50 in the engine is lower, which can reduce the production of NO_X and the conversion efficiency of the three-phase...
