The energy crisis is one of the most important issues that must be resolved urgently in the world today. Petroleum, as an important energy, will probably be exhausted in the next few decades. Automobile is the main gasoline consumer in China. And fuel for vehicles is the greatest driving force for gasoline consumption growth, accounting for over 40% of the total gasoline consumption. So developing the new substitute energy is an effective method to solve the present energy shortage. Methanol is proved to be abundant in source, low in cost and high in octane number. It mixed with petrol could be turn into methanol gasoline, which is an important substitute fuel for automobiles. However, the methanol gasoline with a high mixed proportion cannot be used in the ordinary gasoline engine directly. The equipment of fuel controller needs to be installed.The paper is based on methanol gasoline application by extending the injection pulse-width. First, an experiment on injection revision of coolant temperature sensor is carried out. Second, the hardware components of methanol gasoline application system with the micro-controller and the Schmitt Trigger as the core are described. The hardware components include power module, shaping module, measuring and processing module and driving module. In software design, program design is implemented in the Keil C51 and MedWin integrated development environment using C51 language, and the program flow chart is given. Next, the simulation of the system based on Schmitt Trigger is realized by PROTEUS. At last, bench test is conducted and the experimental results are analyzed. The results of PROTEUS simulation system and bench test indicate that, the methanol gasoline control system based on the above researches could effectively control the fuel injection quantity of engines on the condition of the onboard computer unchanged, and achieve the application of methanol gasoline with a high mixed proportion on ordinary gasoline engine. |
