The comprehensive heat-transferof plate-fin heat exchanger has been used widely in the heat transfer equipment, such as air-cooling apparatus. The research on the heat transfer characteristics of fin of plate-fin heat exchanger not only has highly theoretic value, but also has very important use value.Some numerical computations on the heat transfer characteristics of plate-fin heat exchange's fin have been done. According to the numerical simulation, the velocity contours and temperature fields around fins in different rake angles are presented respectively. The results show that when the other geometric parameters are sameness,the wave fin with the rake angle 80° is more excellent than fin with other rake angles on factor of heat transfer j and j/f. Then the wave fin with rake angle of 80° with uniform wall temperature boundary condition is emphasized in this study. The change rules of factor of heat transfer and heat of unit area as the change of wave amplitude,viod rate and number of fins are presented. At last, discontinuous wave fin is compared with continuous wave fin in factor of heat transfer and heat of unit area.The result shows that dicontinuous wave fin is more better than discontinous wave fin.The experiment table on flow characteristic of wave fin is established, and the velocityu distribution of wave fin and the mean velocty are measured to test the validity of numerical computation.The above research is helpful to the design of new kind of plate-fin heat exchanger, and it is of guiding significance for manufacture and utility.
