As electronics is regarded as one of the most important method to reduce the exhaust emissions and improve the power and economy performance, the development and study of engine electronic control technology is paid more and more attention. To find the best control strategy of the engine and control parameters, a large amount of matching experiments between electronic control unit and engine should be done. To finish this work, a calibration system is needed.Based on studies of the calibration system of electronic control engines, the author put forward a calibration system; complete the software design of PC, the software design and the hardware design of the ECU. In order to complete the real-time, exact communication between the PC and the ECU, a CAN-USB is designed and used. The experiment design and calibration data are dealt with the central composite design, which is a statistical method. As all factors are continuous in engine control, the central composite design become a convenient choice to estimate 2nd order polynomials. This method can obtain more information with fewer tests and reduce calibration workload effectively. We obtain SPK and VE with the central composite design aimed to decrease the CO and HC, it can prove the feasibility of we calibrate the engine with the central composite design...
