Calibration system for balances is used to simulate object of received puissance. At present, some calibration systems for balances have been developed, but most of them, when added load with weight, have poor precision. In order to improve the system's precision, reduce cost and decrease adjust cycle, a calibration system for balance with six-component load have been designed.In this paper, the outline and structure of the calibration system for balance with six-component load have been presents, and describes the principle and composition of control system in detail. Besides, it briefly presents the data-sampling system and data-processing part. At last, it will be presented that the error analysis and calculation of this device.There are five steps in the workflow of the device. Firstly, balance rod which will be measured is fixed on the servo organ, and installed to load-adding sheath accurately, after that, the load-adding sheath is adjusted to the origin of ground axes, then the information of the load-adding sheath position and the initial value of nine load-adding component will be record with the data-sampling system.Secondly, the balance is added load with multi-component method in a closed loop until every load-adding components reach the values set in advance.Thirdly, when the system becomes stable, it is sampled by the data-sampling system which include nine load-adding components' value, the displacement values of six submicron-level-length-measuring instruments and output signal of balance. Then these data is stored in hardware.Fourthly, load-adding sheath's displacement change, and then all the force and torque added to the balance by the load-adding components are worked out.Data-processing is implemented by using the corresponding mathematic formula in order to get the calibration formula, precision and accurateness.Finally, the load-adding sheath is offload and adjusted to its original position.All the specifications of the system meet the user's requirement after the detecting experiment. The system has been put into action.
