In the recent years, coal supply comes to be insufficient. And the coal combustion plant boiler cannot combust the coal under design. The variety of combustion coal brings many new problems which influence the security of boiler operation. Such as low stability of combustion, easy to slag, raise of contamination release and so on. Many power plants expect to solve these problems through blend coal combustion. Therefore it's necessary to study the combustion characteristics of blend coal in order to use blend coal reasonably, improve the combustion condition, make full use of the blend coal's advantage.The thermogravimetric analysis was operated with guigang coal, shenhu coal and their blend coal. The results show that the combustion of blend coal is an extraordinary comlplex and chemical process. During the combustion of blend coal, the componet coals affect each other, so the blend coal exhibit the different combustion characters from the single coal. It is concluded that the volatile separated-out characteristic of the blend coal is better than the coal's with the worse volatile in the blends, and the ignition characteristic of the worse volatile coal is improved; the carbon burnout characteristic of the blended coals is better than the worse coal in combustion characteristic in the blend coal. The thesis use the parameters of ignition and combustion stabilized, integrate combustion characteristic to evaluate the blended coals, and bring forward the reasonable suggestion for economically, efficiently firing blended coals. The activation energy and frequecy factor are acquired by the research.On the basis of above data, the fuzzy mathematics was used to comput the optimized ration of blend coals The ration of the blend coal is most important factor, in addition, the boiler must be adjusted to adapt to the blend coal.Using the guigang coal and blend coal in the No.3 boiler of a power station. Comparing the different between the design coal and the blend coal , bringing forward the measures of the adjustment. The situation of blend coal burning have been improved through the adjustment, which reduce the carbon content of fly ash .
