With the scope of electrical machines and equipments' application sharply increases, the power quality becomes the key issue of the electric operation system. The paper bases on the platform of virtual instrument, uses NI high-precision 16-bit DAQ—PCI-6251 to do signal acquisition. As a terminal, it completes the analysis of the power quality and waveform display, and also through the network communication mechanism uploads data to the server. Based on the wavelet transform mutation detection algorithm, the server detects short-time power quality disturbances and other parameters. Through the network, it integrates the client's functions of signal acquisition and measurement and the server's functions of powerful monitoring and analysis as an organic system .So we can real-time observe the entire network of power quality, establishing the foundation for enhancing the network and intelligent management of the power quality.
