Vehicle Safety Inspection Data Mining And Analysis

Data mining refers to extracting implicit, previously unknown and usable knowledge from large amounts of data. It is one of the frontiers of research in the fields of database and DSS. In this paper the basic theory of data mining is briefly introduced. Aim at particularity of vehicle safety testing data, the paper discusses Decision tree and Clustering techniques, compare and analysis these two kinds of algorithms. Major study is ID3 algorithms based on information theory, k-means algorithms and k-nearest neighbor method. In Microsoft SQL Server 2000,use T-SQL language to complete data preprocessing on huge samples space of vehicle safety testing database. The vehicle safety testing mining database is been building up. Select Decision tree and Cluster models in Analysis Services to carry on data mining and analysis. The foreground of the DM techniques application at vehicle safety testing is adequately discussed. Data mining technology is a kind of study based on the application. Different input produces large different classification rules. It is a new attempt on DM technology application.
