Automotive safety is an increasingly important topic.With the increase of car ownership and vehicle casualties in China,it is particularly important to optimize the design of automotive safety components.One of the passive safety measures of a vehicle is the energy-absorbing box,which is one of the first deformation components in the collision process.It can effectively absorb energy and reduce the impact caused by impact force during the low-speed collision.The optimal design of the energy-absorbing box needs to go through the four phases of optimization parameters,three-dimensional modeling,finite element numerical simulation and put into production as reference data,which is a data accumulation process.However,at present,the use of these data still stays in the stage of statistics,inquiry and information exchange,and few studies on further data analysis have been found.In this paper,the data of optimal design of the research team was collected,including optimization design platform,specific optimization parameters and numerical simulation results,to establish a energy-saving box optimization database about specific optimization scheme,energy absorption effect and nested supplementary information,in order to achieve the purpose of information sharing and reduce the time for searching data in the pre-optimization period of design.Through data preprocessing methods such as data transformation,data integration,data selection and so on,a multi-dimensional dataset was set up and sliced at different levels such as wall thickness,taper and outer chamfer radius.On the Microsoft SQL Server platform,OLAP on-line analysis,cluster analysis and decision tree analysis were carried out to explore the influencing order of wall thickness,outer radius and cross-section shape parameters on the energy absorption box energy absorption effect(average impact force),and the influence of various factors on the effect of energy absorption and the scheme parameters to be further optimized.The results show that the dependence of the average impact force on the parameters of the energy absorption box is wall thickness t> the shape of the cross section S> the radius of the chamfering angle R> the material M> the number of the induced groove n> taper C.The optimum range of the energy absorbing box is: 1.8 mm ? t ?3.4 mm,1.3 mm ? R ?3.4mm,n=1?2 or 3,and 1.4 ° ? C ?3.6 °.These conclusions are helpful to reduce the optimization design cycle of the subsequent energy-absorbing box,improve the work efficiency,and effectively improve the availability of data related to the optimization design of the energy-absorbing box.And the information hidden behind the data is found,which provides the reference basis for the optimization design of the energy absorption box in the future,which has the guiding significance and reference value.
