With the development of science and technology and the improvement of the people's standard of living, human's requirement of the vehicle security become higher and higher, especially the braking security. Anti-lock braking system (ABS) is a kind of device, which can regulate the wheel's braking force automatically, prevent the wheels from locking and acquire the best effect during braking. This device is significant to steering safety. This paper makes some deep research on ABS center controller, also called ECU, establishes vehicle dynamical mathematical model, tire model, braking system model, and uses Matlab/Simulink software to set up ABS simulation model. The paper concentrates on ABS control process, analyzes its basic logic principle formula and applies it to vehicle.The paper Build up the theoretical model of ABS. The paper anatomized the control principle of ABS, and based on it introduced the structures, species, every part functions of ABS. The dynamics model founded by predecessors was adapted to build simulation model. The simulation model takes into account the vehicle dynamics model, tire mechanics model, mechanics model of hydraulic pressure executives. All the models are modestly predigested to reconcile simulation feasibility and reliability.ABS control algorithm and simulation test was researched in the paper. Due to the complexity of automotive intrinsic parameters and working statuses, research of ABS control algorithm adopt of model-based cybernetic method can't receive perfect result. So this paper emphasizes on the traditional logical control method. Because of the complexity of controller and its algorithm, it is becoming more important to seek powerful developing environment and programming tool. Among rapid development of Computer-aided control system design (CACSD), MATLAB /SIMULINK injects vitality to ABS design and simulation. A common logic controller is designed with toolboxes of Mtalab/Simulink according to the simplified automobile model and it can get good effect as the result of simulation test shows.The paper designed the center controller of ABS. Developing ABS use singlechip is a widely-adopted method, singlechip controller is its kernel. With the technique advancement and application, 16-bit singlechip's exploitation and research in ABS field will deepen. This paper centers on ABS center controller designing uses high-performance singlechip. It's involves hardware and software, such as single input channel, controller output port, communication module, and control method, malfunction detection and so on, to meet the needs of the whole ABS.In the end ,the paper applied the ABS controller to vehicle. To check the effect of ABS controller, apply it to vehicle. Use the communication software installed in the computer to monitor the state of the ABS through RS- 232 serial communication. In this way, the parameters of logic control method can be regulated conveniently.In a word the research results show that logic control method used in ABS has not only theoretical meaning but also realistic value. It is a simple, convenient system with better driving stability and braking, and meanwhile better adaptability. Further research is worthy and required.
