Electric power is the important energy when electrolyzing nonferrous metals. It is very important for enhancing the security and reliability of zinc electrolytic process, reducing energy sources and swelling the economic benefit of the corporation by monitoring, controlling and optimizing the power supply system of zinc electrolytic process.The characters of the electrolytic zinc and its power supply process are analyzed firstly in this paper. After considering the real condition of the zinc electrolytic power supply process in the Zhuzhou Metallurgical Group the system's hardware platform is constructed by using multilayer network structure. The multilevel hierarchical real time control system are given to realize the monitor, control and optimization of the zinc electrolytic power supply process. Then the characters and the work process of the system are discussed. The electric power charge optimization model is established on the aim of minimizing the energy sources expense and the electric power fees. A particle swarm algorithm with mutation is used to optimize the model and get the zinc electrolytic series current for guiding manufacturing. The system's database is built by using SQL Server database platform. The communication between the monitor and control computers and the communication controllers is realized by using Winsocket technology. At last the software of the monitor and control system is developed by using Visual C++ 6.0 programmable software.The system is successfully applied to integrated power supply automation of the zinc electrolysis in Zhuzhou Metallurgical Group. The application results show that the system has totally realized the function of zinc electrolytic optimazation, monitor and control. And the purposes of centralized monitor and keeping unmanned duty are realized.
