Based on the investigation of correlative technique data domestically and abroad, it emphasizes the instruction of asphalt pavement structure design concept abroad. By surveying the eight high grade paving asphalt condition in Guang Dong, it combines asphalt pavement structure repair experience in province and analyzing, induction, generalize; which offer experience to Fo Shan loop construction project. It comparing analyze asphalt pavement structure design by two design ways.The chief conclusions in this paper as follows:1. The practical experience of perpectual pavement construction abroad proves: perpectual pavement structure design concept that the control pavement breakage only occurs on surface layer, which represents the current international develop direction of asphalt pavement structure design Concept. Perpectual pavement construction needs a deeper asphalt layer(>20cm), deep asphalt layer structure is the necessary condition of perpectual pavement structure. At the same time, the service performance of deep asphalt layer structure is superior compared with thin asphalt layer structure on the base with cement stability.2. It makes the pavement design life-time is more than 40 years by proper asphalt pavement structure design, without increase pavement structure design depth; the initial construction cost of perpectual pavement structure is high, but current experience is less, all-in benefit-cost ratio is the most.3. Most structures of the freeway asphalt pavement structure are semirigid base asphalt pavement structure, there are also semirigid base + flexible base combined asphalt pavement structure; deep asphalt layer combined base asphalt pavement structure is superior compared with thin asphalt layer semirigid base asphalt pavement structure on the maintenance and curing.4. Engineering practice application indicates: using advanced proper construction technology, selecting modified asphalt materials can advance pavement service performance, rutting resistance, durability well.5. Summarize and put forward freeway asphalt pavement structure design concept: set pavement the position and layer thickness of all structure layers, make full use of all layer materials characteristics, to resist wheel load and environmental factor action, and realize surface functional layer design useful life, supply good quality of service. At the meantime, the whole structure, especially the part under base should keep enough residual intensity, to guarantee pavement structure have the lowest repair cost and longer useful life.6. By means of pavement structure technical economy comparing analyze, combine current research of practical application and service performance, the uniformity, durability, elevated temperature property, resistance to water damage, anti-slip performance and anti-slip durability of SAM surface layer construction are better than anti-slide pavement (AK-13A). Fo Shah loop high-speed road major, secondary road pavement structure recommended programme can meet Fo Shan loop high-speed road 40 years useful life.
