The Yellow River silt silted continuously to jack up the river bed, it greatly restricted the economy of the Yellow River Basin. Clay brick destroyed farmland and harmed the future generations, it is urgent to find alternative products. In the background of building conservation-oriented society, KP1-brick has been unable to meet the increasing demand for energy-saving, therefore the use of the Yellow River bearing brick is imminent.The Yellow River silt cellular bricks are the transition series which make use of the modular coordination theory and method design, its characteristic is that its size specifications to consider the module of the construction, not only to protect farmland, turn harm to benefit, but also to save the soil, land, energy, avoid the problems of cutting bricks in construction. At the same time, it make a tremendous contribution for our province's construction of the energy-saving and wall materials reforms, having social, economic, environmental and other multiple benefits.Based on the relation of the hole type and the thermal, load-bearing performance of the Yellow River silt modular cellular brick, this paper researches and discusses themain factors in the following several aspects:(1) Using the principles of heat transfer and a series of test results, this paperdiscusses the relation of the hole types and the thermal performance of the Yellow River silt modular cellular brick, and analyses the hole rate, holes form, hole arrangement and other factors on the thermal conductivity of cellular brick. At last, we search for a suitable thermal calculation formula for modular brick.(2) Based the analysis of the module brick mechanical, it studied the relationship of the holes types and bearing performance. And this paper uses the elastic theory to research the focus near the holes abstractly.(3) Founded on large-scale finite element analysis program ANSYS, this paper analyses the different modular brick, through the comparative analysis of the brick extreme stress and stress contours to discuss load-bearing performance of modular brick. (4) Based on the consideration of thermal properties and the load-bearing properties, ultimately this paper determined a reasonable scale of the Yellow River silt modular brick with a few holes in the form, identified the balance of the load-bearing and saving energy.The analytical method in this paper is based on the combination of theoretical analysis with experimental results, through analysing the relation of hole type and thermal performance, load-bearing properties comprehensively, it summed up the design parameters of hole type for the Yellow River silt modular cellular brick, not only for the production of high quality of the Yellow River silt modular cellular brick of guiding significance and also available for similar modular brick design reference.
