Since 2002, the private car has become another comsumer hot spot after thehousing. The fast development of the car itself also brings about the development ofsome relevant industries. Applying information technology into the car is becoming anew tendency in the future world market. The presentation of the concept ofMulti-function On-Car Platform and CarPC makes the intellectualization andnetworking of future cars becoming a necessary tendency. In this paper, consideringcomfortness, entertainment, safety and usability, this dissertation discusses theembedded vehicular PC system for a particular market. This paper focuses on theoverall framework of this system and the software/hardware designment. In the EVCgraphical development environment, according to users'needs and the developmentof market-related industries, the dissertation have expatiated on the particulargraphical interface design and functional modules for the embedded vehicular PCsystem.Chapter 1 summarizes the background and the development of the carPCindustry, analyzes existing technological features of the carPC industry, combines thedemands of future market, puts forward the practical significance and specificresearch work of the embedded vehiclular PC system.Chapter 2 outlines the general framework of this system, the development of thehardware and system-driven program. Finally, it brings forward the general overviewof the application software.Chapter 3 mainly introduces the hardware design of this system, and theinterface definition of each functional module.Chapter 4 introduces the establishment of the embedded WINCE operatingsystem. First introduces the relevant technology, then describes the systemcustomized process in Platform Builder, and the compiling and solidification processof the kernel.Chapter 5 describes the graphical user interface design of this sol, ware, and alsothe functional design. Chapter 6 expatiates on the software program based on EVC++, also introducesthe CAN bus communication and database application in the system.Chapter 7 concludes the research works of the dissertation, also raises thetendency of the possible way of further development.
