Based On Fuzzy Pid Auto Starter Automatic Test System Research And Development

The automobile starter is used to start the automobile engine. The starting performance is one of the key performance indexes of the automobile. In order to ensure starters manufactured meet the performance indexes designed, a comprehensive performance test has to be done after assembly. A starter's comprehensive performance test is to carry out the performance tests of solenoid switch and the DC electromotor that is done in different operating conditions, such as idle load, load, and braking.In this dissertation, by analyzing starter's operating principle and engine' starting requirements, several testing items are designed to do comprehensive examination to starter's performance. Based on this, the overall design of the testing system is completed, including electrical design, software design and anti-interference design.In starter's comprehensive performance automatic testing system, there are voltage regulating closed-loop and torque regulating closed-loop. An excellent controller is the key element to determine the system's performance. Due to the nonlinearity of system components, the existence of uncertain industrial interferences and the diversity of starter models, it is difficult to fulfill the system's control performance simply using conventional PID controller. Therefore, by analyzing the system's mathematical model and the features of a starter's performance test, a fuzzy self-tuning PID controller is designed to improve the system control performance.The system is developed by using industrial computer and PLC, which meets the production line's requirements to a starter's performance test with features of comprehensive performance test, full automation, high precision and fast response. Presently, the system has been applied to some domestic and oversea factories, and has been running in starters' assembly lines.
