The military helicopter has become a shock power in the army and is going to play amore and more important role in modern wars for its particular advantages, such asmaneuver ability, operability and attack ability. This situation calls for the research on newweapon system that can strike the military helicopter effectively. This paper study on onekind of target tracking technology based on gyroscope which is used in the fire controlsystem of light antiaircraft weapon and can complement the defect of existing antiaircraftweapon system. The problems in the study include angle rate tracking for the helicopter, the evaluationof hit probability based on angle rate tracking method. In order to solve these problems,fn'stly, thinking about the state of the helicopter in future war, the traces of the helicoptercruising and maneuvering have been designed. By using these traces'data, the simulationexperiments data for the evaluating of angel rate tracking method can be gotten.Secondly, combinating of the "Current Acceleration Statistical Model" and Kalman filter method, theapproaches of Extended Kalman Filter Adaptive Angle rate Tracking, and SphericalCoordinates Adaptive Angle rate Tracking have been brought forward to track and predictthe azimuth and elevation angle rate of the target, and to obtain the optimal angle rate traceof the target. Secondly, the hit probability is studied by solving the hit equation, combiningKalman Filte and shifting angle ratemethod. Monte Carlo simulation experimentsdemonstrate that the method is viable. The experiments output has proven that the method brought forward by this paper isdoable from and also provides the basis of the industrialization.
