Nowadays, in the development of relay protection logic program, there are some problems exist, such as duplication of work, heavy workload, lack of flexibility and applicability. In order to resolve the problems, the graphics programming idea was applied to develop relay protection logic program in this thesis.Design and realization of universal relay protection logic development platform were primarily introduced. The software platform selected Ladder Diagram as graphics programming language, it allowed developers using Ladder Diagram to configure protection logic diagram, and the corresponding program could be generated automatically. During researching and developing the project, the author used VC++, Visio and STL as developing tools, which enable the software platform well satisfy the design requirements, such as programming efficiency, flexibility of protection logic configuration, open of the software platform, man-machine conversation and so on.The thesis expounded design idea and overall program of universal relay logic development platform, and introduced design and implementation of four components on the software platform. Four components are as follow, relay protection component library, Ladder Diagram editor, relay protection algorithm library and C program translator.
