With the power network scale enlarging rapidly, the number of protection device is increasing,and the quality of protective device is improving , the management of protection relay becomes more and more heavy and complex ,which is a challenge for the tradition method of the protection relay management. In recent years , the problem that the software for power system calculating and computing has been solved .Many protective relay coordination software came into use , which have improved the level for the relay protection . However , these softwares are no longer meet the need of today's power system operation , they are insufficient, as their function is simple , the interface is not user-friendly and invisible , and the data management is inconvenient. As a result, it is falling into disuse in power systems .Based on the situation of protective device coordination software , this paper studies the reactive on 35kV power system , and utilize Microsoft Visio 2003 the secondary development research that results of power system software . Main works as following:(1) Set up platform of the graph , design the basic model of electric component and the object-oriented component data structure , the software has realized graphic editing function ,it can draw lots of components used in electrical calculating, including electrical generating station , substation of power system , power transformer , transmission line , busbar , switch , and kinds of protection .(2) Company with the reactive of 35kV power system , compiling short-circuit current module , and it can label the result of calculating in graph . which can combine with the result of calculation and Excel.(3) This software can discern the connection between this component and that component in the electrical connect graph , and can take on the automatic serial number to component , which can result the topological structure of the electrical network automatically.(4) This software can carry out longitudinal differential protection and overcurrent protection and overload protection setting calculation etc on power transformer ; quick-break-voltage protection , directional overcurrent protection setting calculation on busbar of 35kV power system .
