With the requirement of the power supplier with high efficiency, reliability and environmental "green", the active power factor correction technique has become a research hotspot in recent years. Especially the three-phase high power factor rectifier attracts more and more interests.The paper is organized as follows. First, the research background of the three-phase high power factor rectifier is introduced, including the development of the power factor, main topologies and control strategy. Based on the analysis, the suitable topology and control strategy is selected for the investigation. Next, the principle of the three-phase six switches Boost PFC converter is analyzed, and its mathematical model and d-q model are discussed in the paper. Also the principle and the structure of the control circuit are presented. To verify the validity of the proposed method, a prototype of the three-phase high power factor rectifier with 3kW output power is built in the laboratory. The simulation and experimental results are consistent with the theoretical analysis.
