With the rapid development of national economy,power electronic equipment has been widely used in electric-power industry,communications industry,home appliance industry and other fields.The functions and shape of these devices are different,but they all need to power supply to maintain work properly.Switching power supply has been widely used in all walks of life because of its superior performance.But just because of this,it also brings serious harmonic pollution and power factor decline to the power system.This impels the power factor correction technology(referred to as PFC)has become a hotspot in power electronics research.Based on a large number of domestic and foreign literature,this paper briefly introduces the power electronic device brings the problem of serious harmonic pollution and power factor decline.Then further introduces the trend of power factor correction technology,analyzes the merits and faults of the passive power factor correction(PPFC)and active power factor correction(APFC).Finally gives the classification of power factor correction technology.After comparing the merits and faults of the main circuit topology and control strategy of APFC,the Boost converter is chosen as the main circuit and the average current control chip UC3854 is used to design a 270 W experimental circuit with wide voltage input range and fixed voltage output.The parameters of the main circuit and the control circuit are calculated.The circuit was simulated based on Simulink according to these parameters and correctness of the design is proved firstly after used compare simulation waves,and the accuracy of the component parameters is verified by simulation.At last,the experiment circuit and auxiliary power supply circuit and protection circuit is founded,the correctness and veracity is proved more after compare experiment waves.Simulation and experiment show that this design of single-phase active power factor correction circuit can improve the power factor and reduce the harmonic content,also has the function of high temperature protection.By testing the system,the system's functional indexes meet the design requirements.
