With the rapidly changing energy situation and the increasingly serious pollution problems, the global energy and automotive emissions were aroused wide attention by the international community increasingly. At the pressure of energy consumption structure and environmental protection, Internal Combustion Linear Generator Integrated Power System comes into being. It can achieve energy conservation and environmental protection because of itself characteristics, and it will be the source of power of the next generation hybrid vehicle.This thesis mainly achieved the following research work depending on the real time request and practicability of the free-piston engine control system.The injecting module, ignition timing module and the controller of theirs were designed. It mainly comprises the peripheral circuits of ECU, signal acquisition and processing circuit of the sensors, circuit of the injecting module and the ignition timing module.The flow characteristic of the electronic controlled injector testing equipment and control devices interface were designed and development. Different electronically controlled fuel injector flow characteristics were tested, through the amendment of the non-linear flow of the fuel injector within the framework of dynamic flow, the calculation formula was given the designation Injector pulse width of the calculation formula.The free-piston engine control strategy of lean combustion was researched. Virtual Lambda Sensor was designed, which can adjust the Air-Fuel ratio of engine. It be realized by soft computing, which is gained from the combustion pressure sensor. The Virtual Lambda Sensor can control the combustion process. So that can realize the dual-purpose of reducing the environmental pollution and conserving the energy.The control strategy of the Ignition Timing and emulates the method were designed. The control strategy makes use of the in-cylinder and the displacement sensor signals for computing the indicated work of engine, which can control the real time ignition timing. The result of emulation proves the method is feasibility and effective.
