Design, Embedded Intelligent Vehicle Control System Based On S3c2410

As the car becomes widely used, the research of intelligent car and its related technology is becoming more and more popular. On the background of The Freescale Cup National Undergraduate Intelligent Car Contest, this paper studies designing a intelligent car with visual function, which could identify the guide-line by itself under the ARM+Linux platform.This paper accomplishes the intelligent car system's hardware design with modularized design method. Based on the system's analysis, the whole system is divided into six different blocks, including core control block, power supply block, motor control block, actuator control block, vision block, and voltage detecting block. The paper analyses how to design the other five blocks in detail, except the core control block, which is fulfilled by SBC-2410X. The regulating of the car model's mechanical structure is also discussed in the paper.For the system's software design, this paper discusses two different things, one is device driver program designing, the other is the system's application program designing. The device driver program designing of three different hardware resources is introduced particularly, including IO, AD and PWM. Loading and using of the camera is also mentioned in the paper. To the application program designing, image collecting by the USB camera and image processing on SBC-2410 X are studied. This paper adopts the way of line scanning to collect the useful information of the guide-line. Based on the information, some parameters of the guide-line are obtained, and then fulfill the control of the motor and the actuator according to the control strategy.The system's debugging shows that, the intelligent car can collect the guide-line's information by the camera, and then fulfills the line-tracking task all by itself.
