The Design, Based On The Infrared Camera Of The Pci Bus Frame Grabber Driver

Nowdays,the infrared camera in our country can export video signal and digital image signal. The video signal can display on the screen through the general grab card, but the digital one can not be inputted into computer without special image grab card. In this paper, an infrared image grab card and the correlative program driver are designed based on the analysis of the universe technology. After buffering in FIFO RAMs,the infared image data from the infrared camera are read into computer by a unviseral PCI interface chip,PCI 9054.Finally the images are displayed on the screen. The processing speed of CPU has become higher and higher, and the capability of the extern memory has been increasingly greater. As a result, the higher performance of computer bus has been demanded. Beacause of higher speed, better reliability, lower cost and more excellent compatibility, PCI bus has taken up the leading position at various PC BUS protocols.It is the first choice to adopt PCI bus in the development of relative projects. With the development and application of the infrared image grab card, the constitution of digital data system, a design of infrared image grab platform is introduced in this thesis. 1.The correlative technology and choice of the design of infrared digital image grab system are summarized.The chips in this card and mode of data transmission are introduced. 2.Including infrared image acquisition interface design, PCI bus interface design, the mode of image data transmission, A design of based on PCI bus interface is selected. 3.The operation of PCI bus and some concept with PCI bus is introduced. 4.The technology of device driver in Windows 2000 is introduced, including the developing and status of the device driver. Writing Windows WDM device driver has been demonstrated in detail. Explanation for how to read/write the configuration space of this card based on PCI bus,physical memory and input/output port is also presented. 5.Finally the whole work is summrized, and the disadvantage , the problems , and further works are discussed.
