Angle simultaneously tracking machine is a kind of device which is large-scale used in the ship controlling system. For its special working environment, it is very difficult to test it.In recent years,with the microprocessor aiming at low price,small size,high computing power,and the developing of embedded operation system, embedded system has been used in almost every field of science and life. The embedded system that is based on ARM processor can be used to design the Angle simultaneously tracking machine testing system.It will make the testing system's hardware design simpler and the software design more flexible.In this way,we can resolve the testing problem.This thesis focuses on embedded system design and implementation based on ARM processor S3C2410A for Angle simultaneously tracking machine testing system.The system has been applied to ship testing system.At first, the thesis introduces the design scheme of the whole system,including the design of interrelated modules and the necessary of choosing Linux as operating system.Then,describes the design and implementation of signal generator module, including the circuit of FPGA chip,VHDL programme, software design,debugging.After that, describes the design and implementation of ARM part, including the circuits for S3C2410A chip and debugging. Then, introduces Linux porting process and software design, including introducing the principle of Bootloader, Linux kernel porting,root filesystem designing,LCD driver designing.At last, performance of the system in actual environment is listed and suggestions are presented for further development.
