Privacy, For Public Health Facilities

Modern public toilet is not just a place of the traditional concept. It reflects the city's culture and human civilization. Modern life brings multiple identities of public toilet. People come to the toilet to meet not only physical needs, but also certain spiritual needs. The human's needs have across the limit between spirit and physical. From the perspective of human-centered design, the public toilet facilities will not only need a simple realization of the basic functions, but also provide better privacy. Through the above discussion, we can see that the facilities have turned from simple "tool of use" to a "cultural expression", so we must consider the layout, the use, culture, psychology and the man-machine's relationship of the facilities. It will be a very rich field for research.This paper applies industrial design theory to research the relationship between the environment, facilities and the human, in order to find out a harmonious relationship between man and machine. The article analyses the function, use, history, culture and sociological of privacy, to promote the public toilet human-centered design through practical investigation and case studies. To properly resolve the contradiction between public and privacy, the paper has researched the user's perception of the external environment, emotion, psychology, etc. And then studied the design of the public toilet facilities on the various factors like function, layout, man-machine size, to create a good, suitable facilities for users; Summing up the design model system of the public toilet facilities privacy Design, which against not only the modern public toilet facilities design, but also the general product design; At the same time, abstracted some noteworthy features and methods about privacy public toilet facilities design, and summed up the three factors of it; At the last part, the paper analyses the development tendency of the public toilet facilities design. In the future the facilities will meet human's spiritual demands, and human-centered design, technology combining emotion design will be the development tendency.
