There are plenty of the full weathered and highly weathered soft rock in New WuHan-GuangZhou Passenger Railway, whose properties are unstable, and whose strength will decrease sharply when watered and weathered, and which is not directly used for roadbed stuffing. Because of serious lacked of A and B group stuffing, soft rock fillings are used mainly for roadbed stuffing in this railway. So it makes great social and economic sense in lessening soft rock debris, taking up fewer farmland, improving environment, reducing construction cost if reasonable modified measures were applied to meet the requirements of roadbed deformation and stability of the Passenger Railway. Based on present domestic and international research and by means of combining the research with laboratory tests,theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, this article mainly makes some useful production and conclusions as follows:1. Started with the mineral composition and structure of the full weathered and highly weathered soft rock, engineering properties of weathered and modified weathered soft rock were known fully, and the stabability of roadbed filling with whertherd soft rock was judged through laboratory tests.2. Combining with compacting mechanism, the influencing factors of roadbed stuffing with weathered soft rock were studied,such as grain components, addition agent and coagulation time. Furthermore, the rationality of stuffing high-speed roadbed conforming to Chinese and Germanic compacting criterions were validated.3. The correlativity between static strength of the improved weathered soft rock and compaction degree, curing time, addition agent's percentage or saturation time was acquired on the baisis of unconfined compression strength test and analysis of test data. And the interaction mechanism between the saturated static strength of the improved whethered soft rock and cohesive mineral were puts forward.4. Analyse on the durability and intensity change of the improved whethered soft rock by drying-wetting cycle test.5. Based on ideal elastoplastic constituctive relationship, the finite element analysis was chosen to carry out respons character analysis in the layer of modified soil of embankment, and that the distributions of the stress and deformation of the layer of modified soil was drawn.
