| In the aspect of improving the concrete strength and ductility, the development of normal confined concrete (NCC) have long history. And because it can form effective confined region, the capability of concrete could achieve higher improvement. In the base of confined concrete, we bring forward the concept of regional confined concrete (RCC). Although RCC was developed based on the research of NCC, it has its own characteristic. The configuration of regional confined concrete tends to divide the column into several individual slender components, and each component has its own longitudinal bars and stirrups. They work together as an integral column by means of adjoining parts.For the NCC beams, disposing the stirrups in the axis compressed region can promote the concrete strength and ductility effectively. In the text, we confirmed its change of stress characteristic and the performance enhancement form use of the test date and the ANSYS.In the application of the actual project, we often come into contact with the openings in the beam, which would have adverse effect to the bearing capacity and the ductility of elements. If we dispose the stirrups in the axis compressed region of the beam, we can improve the bearing capability and the ductility of the beam, and reduce the minus effect produced by the openings on the beam. In the topic, we proved the application of the RCC in the opening beams has its reliability and practicability. |
